The Challenge: Locked Out, Rejected, and Left Without Access
This small mental health facility relied entirely on a single billing staff. On her quitting the job abruptly the providers were completely cut off from their billing platform without any login credentials or status of their pending files.
When tried to reach her for access details, she refused to cooperate and disconnected the call, making it impossible for the facility to resume their billing operations.
To keep the center alive, Shoreline immediately contacted the state Medicaid agency MaineCare to recreate login credentials and re-establish the system access. And on submitting the claims under the new login, there arouse another problem every single claim was rejected.
On further investigation it was identified that the former biller had never completed the provider credentialing processes, which was the reason for the complete claim rejections. Without an immediate action, the facility was at risk of shutting down due to zero cash flow.
